I'd Rather Be in Hell!

It was during my grade school and high school days in la Salle some 65 years ago... It was highly impressed upon us students that all of our teachers and professors, due to their deep faith in God, all had better or greater chances of winning eternal salvation with God, and His Son Jesus, and Mary, the Mother of God, - in heaven... I said it then silently to myself: --- "No way, Jose!" Me to also win eternal salvation together with my teachers and professors in heaven --- "over my dead body." I'd rather end up in hell... I'd rather enjoy the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly pleasures of intellectual communications with the souls of thinking men and intelligent women eternally damned forever in hell! ... Indeed, fear not Hell, for if it exists, you shall find yourself there existing along with the rarest kind of people - great thinkers who had the courage to put bring more light into this world of darkness! - - - Poch Suzara

Poch, that's what you think. You think you'll still enjoy intelligent conversations with your drinking buddies. But if the Bible is true, you are in for a rude awakening. According to Jesus, hell is a place of outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Hell is a fiery furnace of unquenchable fires. Hell is a place of spiritual and bodily destruction where there are endless torments. Hell is most certainly a place, a horrific place where agonizing conditions exist. And there is no way out. Hell offers no means of escape, rescue, or relief — no way out, ever. The occupants of hell are sealed in their damnation. Friends and family can’t help; God won’t help. The time for mercy has passed. Call out to God while you have the chance. I care where you spend eternity, Poch. Eternity is a long long time.
