What If I Live to be 80 years Old

The day we are born is the day we begin to live in a dying body. Now I am told that God has never been born as God has no beginning and no end. Well, let's assume for the sake of argument that God has been existing for more than 80 MILLION years and will continue to exist for another 80 MILLION years. Now suppose I live to be only 80 YEARS, which is but a split of a millisecond long comparatively to God's MILLIONS OF YEARS of EXISTENCE. Shouldn't I be most proud of myself to learn after my death that, somehow, within my 80 insignificant years of existence, I managed to offend God Almighty while existing on this piece of dust called "earth?" Well, when I meet with God after death, I will ask God if he is a Catholic? If He says yes, then I will tell him to his face, (if he has a face) that he has been and still is a lousy God of the frightened Catholics specially in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century. I don't accept your premise, Poch. How do you know God is Catholic, as in Roman? Your definition of a Christian is not only narrow and provincial, it is wrong altogether.

Does it occur to you, Poch, that for almost 80 years, you may have been barking up the wrong tree? I say this with all sincerity and respect.

Ken, Heroic lives are inspired by heroic ambitions, and the young who thinks there is nothing important to be done is pretty sure to do nothing. Ken, it is pathetic, isn't it, most young men would rather be preoccupied at acquiring possessions which prevent them from living freely, nobly, and courageous intellectually. Ken, don't you think that it is time for God to confirm that He is not a Catholic? And also time to explain to people like you as to what the fuck He is a God for?

Been telling you in many ways, but it seems you're not listening, Poch. For one thing, you need God. Without him, you couldn't know anything. Atheism which is based in materialism has no basis for logic and reasoning. Truth, which is immaterial, really doesn’t exist in an atheistic universe. Atheism cannot account for uniformity in nature (the basis by which we can do real science). Why would everything explode from nothing and, by pure chance, form beautiful laws like E=MC2? Atheism also has no basis in morality (i.e., no absolute right and wrong; no good, no bad!) If someone stabs you in the back, treats you like nothing, steals from you, or lies to you, it doesn’t ultimately matter in an atheistic worldview where everything and everyone are just chemical reactions doing what chemicals do. And further, you are essentially no different from a cockroach in an atheistic worldview since people are just animals. Makes me wonder why an atheist would care to live one moment longer in a broken universe where one is merely rearranged pond scum and all you have to look forward to is … death, which can be around any corner? And in 500 trillion years, no one will care one iota about what you did or who you were or how and when you died—because death is the ultimate “hero” in an atheistic, evolutionary worldview. Of course, as a Christian I disagree, and I have a basis to see you as having value. And Poch, I say this with gentleness and with respect. -Ken Sidadayaw.
