I have written many philosophical reasons why I became an atheist; but to put it simply, practically, I just got sick and tired of being sick and tired of being NOT the intelligent master of religion... I was only always the frightened victim of the whole religious mess! Poch suzara

You left out the moral reason, Poch. Isn't it easier to indulge the flesh if there is no moral lawgiver? You can do it guilt free without the bitter aftertaste. But what if you are just deluding yourself into thinking there is no God and there is no judgment day?
