WHAT A LOT OF BIBLE-inspired GARBAGE

Dear Sonny, here's a deeper question that nobody has yet, not my teachers in high school, or even the college-educated saps on these pages have given me a satisfactory explanation: HAVE ANY OF YOU EVER HEARD OF A FILIPINO WHO GOT TO BE FILTHY RICH FOR BELIEVING THAT GOD IS BAD? SO HOW COME MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF FILIPINOS ARE FILTHY POOR FOR BELIEVING THAT GOD IS GOOD? In the meantime, in the holy bible, a book written by INSPIRED authors of God, Isaiah clearly wrote: "I FORM THE LIGHT AND CREATE DARKNESS: I MAKE PEACE AND CREATE EVIL: I THE LORD DO THESE THINGS!" Isaiah 45:7 Sonny, for my part, I have ceased to wonder why the history of our world, especially the history of the Philippines has never been about GOOD versus EVIL. It has always been about EVIL versus EVIL and EVIL always WON! Facebook# Twitter# Google# Atheist#

Poch, why are you so upset that some Filipinos are filthy rich and many are dirt poor? Why are you so concerned about evil? If people are merely chemical accidents, why should you care? If Darwinian evolution is true, then your brain is simply the result of mindless chemistry that happened to convey survival value in the past. How do you know you you're not just living in an illusion? Call it a matrix.

Ken, In human affairs, there are forces for happiness, and forces for unhappiness. We do not know which will prevail, but to act wisely we must be aware of both forces. Otherwise, mediocrity takes over to make sure that you enjoy nothing but stupidity at best; at worst, however, insanity. Cheers! Poch Suzara

Poch, are you saying that your moral compass is guided by what makes you happy? Let me point out the obvious: "happiness" is not "objective." Different things make different people happy or sad. It may be the most subjective category of human experience. It is subjective so it can't be measured. If it can't be measured, then it's not scientific, therefore it's not science. In many cultures, people are hospitable and are happy to invite you to dinner. In some cultures, they are happy if they can have you for dinner. And you should be glad that the spread of the gospel has practically eradicated cannibalism in Africa and in the South Seas. I've even met former head hunters among Ilongots who were transformed by the gospel through the preaching of Filipino missionaries, the late Eddie and Esther Dominquez from Silang, Cavite. Those were brave souls who lived among headhunters.
