We Shall Never Find God

"The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it. It is not disbelief that is dangerous to our society; it is belief." George Bernard Shaw For my part, I said it before I say it again: We shall never find God in this life; and that is what makes life tragic. But to keep on searching for God - that makes life even more tragic. After all, even if we find God - so what? Nothing will change. Everything will remain the same. The birth, growth, death, and decay of all living things will be the same as usual. Poverty, human misery, social and political insanity will remain the same in world history. To think that I myself have wasted precious years out of my precious life in search of God! For others, however, to tell me that God will meet with me but only after my death - is to me the lowest of absurdity, if it is not the highest of ridiculosity! The holy bible agrees with me: "The dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward for the memory of them is forgotten." Eccl. 9:5 Poch Suzara

Meet with God as I am Atheist

After my death and it will turn out that I shall be meet with God, as an atheist - what then? Well, I will only ask God one simple question: "God, are you a Catholic? And if you are a Catholic, have you ever been Jesuitic?" Poch Suzara

I am Proud to be a Failure in our Sick Society

One would think that the lies, deception, graft, and corruption are the evils that should be remedied in schools, colleges, and universities. But how can that be when, to begin with, schools, colleges, and universities are commercial enterprises; hardly educational institutions. In the meantime, for getting expelled out of high school and have never taken a college course I am known to be a failure in life. Well, academically incapacitated to play a role in the lies, deceptions, graft, and corruption that's keeping sick our sick society - I am most happy and proud to be a failure in life. Poch Suzara

Rotten Product of Education

Behind every fortune is a crime. Behind every crime is a woman's behind. Indeed, in this world of lies and deceptions, graft and corruption - damned if you do, damned if you do not. And to think we are all the same product of "education" in schools, colleges, and universities. Poch Suzara

Poch Suzara - Insulting, Indecent, and Insane

In this world, our world, just because I am not afraid of death, but friendly with life, with beauty, with love, with laughter, with friendship, and make this place a beauty to live in with the rest of humanity in my mind and heart - I am known to be not only insulting and indecent as a man but also a failure, if not insane as a human being! In the meantime, I repeat: many profound thoughts or great ideas have been lost because men and women who had them were afraid to get kicked out of school, threatened, laughed at, fired from office, punished, jailed, or even be condemned into hell-fire for all eternity for entertaining such great thoughts! These horrors have been the fate of most of the great men and great in the history of the world. They changed and improved the ways of the world. Without them, the human race today would be existing like superstitious primitives. Today in this already 21st century, in the Philippines, we still continue to be poor and backward. In our schools, colleges, and universities - we are still educated to believe that to become frightened believers is far more pleasing to God than we if learn to come intelligent and courageous thinkers! Indeed, always afraid of criticisms, we Filipinos would rather say nothing, do nothing, and think of nothing. We leave everything to God as we have always been assured that God will always provide! Atheist Dead and All Dressed up

I am told that a dead atheist is all dressed up but has nowhere to go. For my part, I arrived into this world naked just like the God who created me in his own image and likeness. Well, After I am a dead atheist, do any of you have high hopes that in meeting with God, I should be naked and not dressed up at all? Poch Suzara

Philippine Political Dynasties

In the inside of galaxies are the existence of black holes and white holes. In the inside and outside of Philippines political dynasties are the loopholes, rigmaroles, and the assholes. Poch Suzara

Fear and Ignorance and God

To surrender to ignorance and call it faith in God is really saying the same thing. . . Indeed, the Existence of God depends upon the existence of fear and ignorance: the fear of change and the ignorance of not knowing how to change. . . In the meantime, it is much easier to live in fear and ignorance than it is to live with courage and intelligence. The Catholic church has survived during these past 2,000 years because it has been easier for her to exist by spreading fear and ignorance and refer to it as the love of God. . . Religion is the Only Business

Religion is the only business in the world where its customers are never right; in fact, always wrong. Especially since they have to pay for their sins; and they wish to save expenses while buying a seat in the kingdom of heaven to be with Jesus. Poch Suzara

Old Age - for Senator Rene Saguisag

Old age is not the time to wallow in the same old fear and ignorance; on the contrary, old age is the time to expose the lies, deceptions, graft, and corruption more known in the Philippines as "education." Indeed, education that taught us to contribute not to human civilization, but only to believe and to always have faith in divine revelation for the sake of winning eternal salvation; even if it means at the prize of social stagnation as inspired by political putrefaction. Not to mention ill-health and lack of sanitation. Poch Suzara

Separation of State and Church a Farce in the Philippines

The separation of State and Church in the Philippines has always been a farce, a fraud, and a ceremony. How could the State separate away from the church since the church owns the State? In fact, from the lowest court officials up to the Supreme court officials, and the lowest to the highest State officials are all educated products of schools, colleges, and universities own and operated by the church in the Philippines. More Hogwash Revealed as Truth in the Bible

“Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matt. 10:30. Matthew could have made more sense had he been a circus clown and not a bible writer. It is, indeed, laughable also to believe that God inspired Matthew to write this kind of spiritual hogwash. Golly, we live on a speck of dust called earth. It is lost in the immensity of space and time. Human life on this earth is but a split second long, a wink of an eye, a flash in the pan compared to the life of the universe as created by a silly divinity But, according to Matthew, God seems to welcome divine anxiety for as long human stupidity will last as long as eternity? Isn't this nothing but religious insanity in order to sustain the existence of a silly divinity and to support the existence of a silly deviltry that insures so much financial success for the priesthood industry? The Truth versus Lies and Deceptions

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as self-evident. Arthur Schopenhauer The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple. Oscar Wilde In our schools, colleges, and universities, we were always taught to believe and to have faith in the lies and deceptions more referred to as Divine Revelation. Especially as they masquerade as a religion, indeed, as the revealed truth; like in politics masquerading as nothing but the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Poch Suzara

Sick Prayers to Mary, the Sick Mother of God

In our poor and backward country, since the 16th century - daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly - we Filipinos have been faithful with our prayers repeated over and over again. Look, however, at the results of our prayers for our country in this already 21st century: Millions more of us filipinos as a people today are still active and busy praying daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly; specially for the Second coming of the Lord to remedy the ills of our SICK SOCIETY as generated by our SICK SCHOOLS, SICK COLLEGES, AND SICK UNIVERSITIES - still teaching millions of Filipinos to continue praying to God for the salvation of who knows what - in this only Catholic country in Asia since 400 years ago. I said it before, I say it again: as a decent people in an endless search to create for ourselves a decent nation, isn't it time to dump our historically worthless, if not our utterly useless, nay, mindless prayers? And to think that what we have also been praying to God, and to Jesus, and to Mary, Mother of God, and to the saints to pray for us - to give us this day our DAILY BREAD, and TO LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, and TO MARY, MOTHER OF GOD, TO PRAY FOR US SINNERS, NOW AND AT THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH, amen! I ardently hope that in the centuries to come, our children and their grandchildren will be spared of this kind of mediocrity, stupidity, and insanity of which mixed together have given birth to the existence of the silly mystery behind the holy trinity. The Truth Hurts, But Lies are Far More Damaging

Prove to me that God exist and I will prove to you that I will continue to be a devout and a faithful - humanist. A humanist is an atheist on earth who cares. I am more inclined to believe that extra-terrestrial beings from other planets arrived on this earth thousands of years ago, and they came to introduce to our primitive human ancestors the power of science and technology. Otherwise, if such extra-terrestrial beings came down to earth to save our silly souls away from eternal damnation, I said it before, I say it again: fuck that theological garbage inextricably mixed with ecclesiastical trash. Intelligence generates action wisely as in science. Ignorance enhances only inaction fearfully as in religion. In the conflict between science and religion, I am always on the side of science. Science is a self-correcting enterprise. I will never take the side of religion because it is always wrong; especially always mysteriously and maliciously wrong. After tens of thousands of years of religion, it has yet to make one simple discovery as a revealed truth to benefit, and not as a truth yet to be revealed. The truth hurts; but lies are far more damaging and the horror can last for a thousand years. Look at the Philippines - the only Catholic country is Asia since the 16th century. Today in this already 21st century - the Philippines is still being damaged with lies economically, socially, politically, culturally, indeed, historically - especially for the greater glory of Jesus on earth as he is in heaven and in hell. La Salle and politicians in the Philippines

Indeed, in La Salle grade school and high school, due to my basic intelligence, my religious teachers all agreed to have me expelled since I struggled against them with questions; especially in what I refused to believe in blind faith. Well, my classmates and schoolmates were also gifted with basic intelligence, but our religious teachers successfully manipulated to get their basic intelligence degraded, twisted, distorted, and mutilated. You can see the results: with colledge degrees - some of my classmates and schoolmates are in foreign countries like in Australia lifting elevators, cleaning public toilets, driving taxis. Also here in the Philippines as governors, mayors, congressmen, senators, vice-presidents, and presidents of our government; not to mention the 4 great Lords: Drug Lord, Gambling Lord, Smuggling Lord, and Praise the Lord - since the the USA in cahoots with the Catholic church declared the Philippines as an independent REPUBLIC some 60 years ago! Bertrand Russell summarized it neatly: WE ARE ALL BORN IGNORANT, NOT STUPID. WE ARE MADE STUPID BY EDUCATION. Poch Suzara

Catholics fear not only darkness, but also fear light

I can understand why religious crackpots teach our children in school to always be afraid of the dark! It is big business for the church. After all, God loves us, but He needs money, especially to keep children and adults frightened of the dark! What I find perplexing, however, is how can college-educated men and women continue to be afraid of the light? Atheist Henry Ford said: "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason so few engage in it." My mentor, atheist Bertrand Russell, explained why: "Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man." Poch Suizara

Catholic Charity in the Philippines

I asked it years ago, I ask it again this year: If you Catholics together with your Catholic charity organizations such as De la Salle University were serious, honest, efficient, truthful, meaningful, and indeed fruitful - how come in this only only Catholic country in Asia - more poor Filipino Catholics are only getting poorer? God Knows Not what He is Doing

The Son of God Jesus, crucified on the cross, pleaded: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!" I said it before, I say it again: Jesus could have been more honest and courageous and truthful as the Son of God had he, instead, said: "Man, please forgive my Father God for he never knows what the fuck He is doing!" So God Exists - So What?

The existence of a world without God seems to me less insane than the presence of a God, existing with all of his love, power, glory and perfection - creating men in his own image and likeness but only to run the risk of ending in hell deserving eternal damnation! In the meantime, what if I am dead wrong? That there is, after all, the existence of GOD and He does not like the way I live and think. Well, why is it then that I never, but never hear about it straight from GOD? I only heard about it when I was in La Salle grade school, and I still hear about it today from the religiously frightened - college-educated - spiritually-fucked morons supporting the ways of our corrupt society, huh? In the meantime, I said it before, I say it again: FUCK SATAN, FUCK DEATH, FUCK ETERNAL DAMNATION IN HELL, and, if any, FUCK ETERNAL SALVATION! Dead or alive, I would rather be on the side of common human decency always involved with the growth and endless improvement of human civilization! Poch Suzara

Let's Examine Faith

Let’s examine faith. The definition of faith is hope for a circumstance or thing that is not proven to be true. There is no virtue in accepting something on faith, since it may very well be false, and it is clearly not virtuous to believe the false. Faith has also been proven through out history, time and again, that it is equivalent to massive hysteria: Crusades, Burning Times, Inquisitions, Holy Wars, flying a plane into a building, etc. On a grand scale faith, thus far, has only proven to be an intellectual weakness, and a significant barrier to scientific and moral progress. With all of this in mind, how can God possibly expect us to view faith as the greatest way to glorify him, let alone demand this of us? Most importantly, the point to remember here is that if we don’t believe in him, we go to Hell, and this is a greater evil than a lack of the “virtue” of faith or a stunting of science, or anything else conceivable. If God is truly concerned about the good, he will do what he can to keep us from Hell, and withholding vital information from us is the exact opposite of this. But look at the history of the world from the 5th to the 15th century: every single man, woman, and child believed and had great faith in God. Historians refer to it as the DARK AGES! Indeed, the truth hurts, but lies are far more damaging and can last for a thousand years! In the meantime, when one man suffers from a delusion, it is called "insanity." When, however, millions suffer from the same delusion, like in the Philippines, it is called "Christianity." Poch Suzara

We Never Speak of Faith that - - -

How come we never speak of faith that 2 plus 2 equals 4; or we have faith that the world is round; or that we have faith in a triangle has only 3 sides? No, we only speak of faith when we do NOT know; and, we need to have faith in Christianity in order to remedy the ills of our sick society as generated perpetually by biblical stupidity historically! Who were the Apostles? What were their laat names?

As we must all die, sooner or later, whether we like it or not, who cares about the death of the Apostles? Well, if we must care, the least we should do is to find out what were their last names? So we know that Judas was Judas Ascariot; but what about the rest of the apostles - who were they; where were they born; what were their real names as baptized by Jesus? Poch Suzara

The Worst of Tragedies

Self-deception is the worst tragedy of the Filipinos as a people. Teodoro A. Agoncillo This was during the 20th, 19th, 18th, 17th, and 16th century. Today in the already 21st century - the ignorance of the scientific way of thinking is the worst tragedy of the Philippines as a nation - the victim of a sick system of education. Bertrand Russell said it: The scientific attitude of mind involves a sweeping away of all other desires in the interest of the desire to know. Carl Sagan said it: "There is no other species on the Earth that does science. It is, so far, entirely a human invention, evolved by natural selection in the cerebral cortex for one simple reason: it works. It is not perfect. It can be misused. It is only a tool. But it is by far the best tool we have, self-correcting, ongoing, applicable to everything. It has two rules. First: there are no sacred truths; all assumptions must be critically examined; arguments from authority are worthless. Second: whatever is inconsistent with the facts must be discarded or revised. We must understand the Cosmos as it is and not confuse how it is with how we wish it to be." Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

The Sun Rising and Setting is Like the Illusion of Health

The day we are born is the day we begin to live in a dying body. The belief in Health therefore in an illusion. Just like the belief that the sun sets or the sun rises. It is all but a grand illusion. In the meantime I am fully aware of faith Healers, specially in the Philippines, like the famous Fr. Fernando Suarez. He is making tons of money off frightened sick old men and intimidated sick old women, and yet these people like me will be dead sooner or later. Oh yes, most people squander their health in search of wealth. They sweat and toil and saved. Then they squander their wealth in search of health - only to find the grave. Poch Suzara

Something or Nothing - the Similarity

Oh Jesus, My Dear Jesus

Jesus says, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.(John 14:6) Oh Jesus, My dear Jesus, this is all fine and dandy. But how come you TOLD your followers nothing about your Father? How come all of your followers then and followers now, specially in the Philippines, the only Jesus Freak country in Asia, still find the existence of God, your Father, as an endless mystery? Deut 4:29 Really Jesus, if your Father God were already existing here, existing there, and existing everywhere - why do we have to seek and to find Him? Hasn't this been and still is an exercise in futility at best, insanity at worst? Poch Suzara

God Works In Mysterious Ways

"God works in mysterious ways." A useful dodge when the speaker doesn't understand the conflict between what the Bible SAYS and what they WISH it said; or, to know this or to know that but hardly know what "knowing" means. In the meantime, isn't it rather silly for God to work in mysterious ways? Isn't it enough that God is already existing here, existing there, and is existing everywhere? To impress whom? To accomplish what while endlessly hiding?? To become not a reality but only to prove himself perpetually as a silly mystery? Poch Suzara

Why I do Not Believe in the Existence of God

Indeed, I do not believe in the God of the Christians; in the God of the Muslims; in the God of the Jews; in the God of the crackpots on these pages. There are far more important things to do in life than just to believe. There is to think! I refuse to believe that the purpose of life is to be frightened, silenced, useless, selfish, greedy, stupid, and insane. I think the purpose of life is to be useful, responsible, compassionate, and helpful. It is above all to matter: to count, to stand up for a humanitarian principle, to have made a difference. That we have lived not only for something spiritual, but more so for something intellectual! In the meantime, I do not believe in the existence of God because I already believe in the existence of something higher, better, bigger, and greater than God: My country. My family. Indeed, I'd rather believe in the whole of mankind - not for what she is at present, but for what, with the power of thought, mankind can become in the future generations to come. Especially with knowledge - with the power of science and technology! Why should I give a hoot for the silly existence of a silly divinity? After I am dead,I do not care to meet such a Being in heaven; nor do I care to meet with such a Being in hell! Especially, as I must first go through purgatorial fires! To begin with, such beings and such places have no justification whatsoever to exist for a reason. For millions of years before I was born, I was existing as a nothing without a God; now why should it bother me to realize that after I am dead, for millions of years, I shall, again, be existing as a nothing without a God? Happily, in the meantime, I have no need to love my enemies. I don't care to have enemies. I do love, however, my daily struggles against religious lies and political deceptions! I am having fun hating such horrors! In this connection, I defy any one who says that the power of thought is dangerous! Dangerous to whom? To what? Because with the power of thought we might discover that the nature of human stupidity and the nature of divine infinity are one and the same old holy baloney inextricably mixed with holy salami? Poch Suzara

Lies and Deceptions

I said it before, I say it again: "Blessed is the season that engages the whole of mankind in a conspiracy of love - to unite humanity; and not divide it for the sake of big business more known as the love of God - big business, and fear the devil - big business." In the meantime, the history of our world has hardly been about GOOD verses EVIL. On the contrary, it has always been about EVIL versus EVIL and EVIL always won. Look at our sick world today. Half of it is ruled by lies. The other half is dominated by deceptions. Mix the two evils together and they both add up to the EVIL that daily characterizes our sick world. Happily, only the atheists give a hoot. Never do they ever stop mocking such lies and deceptions! Indeed, who would you rather love and respect - the lies from a politician? Or, the deception from a theologian? Or, the thoughts to provoke your thoughts by a pochologian - one who is not a Believer but a Thinker! Poch Suzara

Election 2013 or Deception

Feb. 1, 2013 Philippine Daily Inquirer Letter to the Editors, Dear Sirs: Election 2013 or Deception Election season is here again. We, the people, will vote for candidates not because of their ambitions for the good of our country; but because of the financial power hidden behind general election - the 4 Lords: Jueteng Lord, Gambling Lord, Drug Lord, and Praise the Lord. Not to mention their cohorts - the 3 Gs - Guns, Goons, and Gold. The General Election will be held on May 13, 2013. In total, there will be 18,022 national and local positions decided: 12 senators, 229 district members of the House of Representatives, 80 provincial governors, 80 provincial vice governors, 766 members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature), 138 city mayors, 138 city vice mayors, 1,532 members of the city council, 1,496 municipal mayors, 1,496 municipal vice mayors, and 11,972 members of the Sangguniang Bayan (municipal council In Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), there will be elected one regional governor, one regional vice governor, and 24 regional assemblymen. Party-list representative will also be elected. It is traditional. We, the people, know nothing about these candidates running for office - where they stand on nutrition for the nation; health and sanitation for our cities, towns, and barrios; especially as they should reflect love of country; law and order. What are their plans for us, the people, to have more sense as a nation and not just wait for the arrival of foreign corporations. Indeed, the arrival of our employers; while, we are educated enough to be their employees. Our national election is also about the approval of political dynasty growing and expanding steadily in our sick society. Especially where civil service eligibility does not matter. What counts is the relativity of influence, wealth, power, and glory. All that we know of these candidates is what they all share something in common together - They are all MAKA-DIOS. Indeed, we all have been raised and educated to believe in the existence of a divinity that is higher and greater than our country, or far more important than the Filipino family. A divinity always available with the power to forgive not only sins, crimes, and deceptions; but also to forgive graft and corruption. In the meantime, working for the government is a not a career of public service in our country. It is great opportunities to make money. And why not? Money made is the accepted measure of decadence in our country! Jose Rizal said it: "Corruption is the major cause of our economic backwardness." Indeed, corruption as the reflection of a corrupt system of education. Especially during our formative years in school. It is where we learn how to forgive the sins of our politicians; how to forgive law-makers as they are among the first law-breakers; how to forgive our church leaders, and the self-appointed prophets of big-business bible-thumpers! Thus, instead of more freedom and democracy - we only have more of the same old mediocrity more known as political dynasty in our poor and backward country. We hardly have the intellect to ask: where are our thinkers, writers, innovators, inventors, reformers, and the promoters of constructive evolution? How come we only have more of the same old destructive revelation? Indeed, instead of challenging ourselves with the task of generating new ideas for the new year, we only find ourselves celebrating the old ways of the old year! Oh yes, the historical struggle in the Philippines has never been about GOOD versus EVIL; but only about EVIL versus EVIL; and EVIL has always been wining! In the meantime, we have yet to find and then elect a collection of educated men courageous enough to run efficiently our government of the people, by the people, and for the people! We are told that the Philippines is one of richest countries in natural resources. Name it; we have it; except diamonds. Our educators, however, have yet, to discover the greatest and the most powerful of natural resources in our country: the Filipino mind and heart. Its precious potentials are wasted away yearly inside commercial establishments own and operated by our former colonial masters. They are still here, but no longer referred to as our colonial masters. They are more known today as schools, colleges, and universities. They are the deadliest of destroyers of Filipino minds and hearts. Such evils operate not as educational institutions; but as commercial enterprises. Tax free. Indeed, we are all born ignorant, not corrupt; we are made corrupt by education. Foremost historian - Teodoro A. Agoncillo - in his HISTORY OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE, published some 50 years ago, wrote a simple truth still truthful today: "Self-deception is the worst tragedy of the Filipinos as a people." Sincerely, Poch Suzara, San Lorenzo Village, Makati city

Jesus had Acquired no Education

Jesus had No need to acquire education in grade school, High School, and college - He had no need to acquire knowledge in order to get Himself Crucified on a Cross The Miracles of Jesus - In Biblical Order A miracle is defined in current dictionaries as a phenomenal or supernatural event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers, more often than not incapable of being explained by the laws of nature. God never operates contrary to His Word or to the laws of nature which He has established, but He has the prerogative to supersede them. Jesus Christ was not the first to do miracles. There were many miracles of God in the Old Testament. The ten plagues in Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea, the manna from heaven, the water from a rock, Aaron’s rod that budded, the ground that opened up and swallowed Korah and the rebels, the sun and moon standing still, the three Judeans in Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace, Daniel in the lion’s den, and many others. But Jesus’ miracles were distinctive. They were signs and mighty works which authenticated His divinity and His mission. People had heard the stories of the God of miracles, and His awesome and astonishing power, but the miracles of Jesus elicited unique responses. “…they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. …and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered. And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well.” (Mark 2:12, 5:42, 6:51, 7:37 KJV) “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38) Following is a listing of the miracles of Jesus with corresponding Scriptures. “And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” (John 20:30, 31) Control of Nature 1. Calming the storm – Matthew 8:23-27; Mark 4:37-41; Luke 8:22-25 2. Feeding 5,000 - Matthew 14:14-21; Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17; John 6:1-14 3. Walking on water - Matthew 14:22-32; Mark 6:47-52; John 6:16-21 4. Feeding 4,000 – Matthew 15:32-39; Mark 8:1-9 5. Fish with coin – Matthew 17:24-27 6. Fig tree withers – Matthew 21:18-22; Mark 11:12-14, 20-25 7. Huge catch of fish – Luke 5:4-11; John 21:1-11 8. Water into wine – John 2:1-11 Healing of Individuals 1. Man with leprosy – Matthew 8:1-4; Mark 1:40-44; Luke 5:12-14 2. Roman centurion’s servant – Matthew 8:5-13; Luke 7:1-10 3. Peter’s mother-in-law – Matthew 8:14-15; Mark 1:30-31; Luke 4:38-39 4. Two men possessed with devils – Matthew 8:28-34; Mark 5:1-15; Luke 8:27-39 5. Man with palsy – Matthew 9:2-7; Mark 2:3-12; Luke 5:18-26 6. Woman with bleeding – Matthew 9:20-22; Mark 5:25-34; Luke 8:43-48 7. Two blind men – Matthew 9:27-31 8. Dumb, devil-possessed man - Matthew 9:32-33 9. Certainly, Poch is Not Alone

Certainly Poch is not alone. The "masa" Christians have been taught to be watchful of the evils men do, how to face such men and what they need to do to get even or justice. But they were not taught how to bravely face evil men belonging to the ruling elite and find ways to stop the evils they do. Instead they were made to understand that they must fear them and stay away from their guns and be subservient, to beg for their due and to die defending their rights, properties and health. Many of their brightest are made scholars only to serve the interest of the rich - by joining them or staying away from harm's way in another country. [Please don't ever think that the first class Filipino progressives who abandoned their Philippines were not allowed to leave in peace, with prayers to boot. Hey, it greatly pleases them to no end to see them go! Let them go, the more talents leaving the easier for exploitation and the safer entrenched the powerful elite are.] The powerful ruling elite are not powerful enough to create jobs for the fast growing "masa," so their sons and daughters are sent abroad to work. When they are abroad and send back home dollars, the elites, perched snugly on top of their lofty condos and sprawling malls with all the comforts in life, smile with satisfaction from ear to ear. Many of those sent away think like Poch but only a few can be loud, clear, persistent and emotionally charged in exposing the anomalous wrongs our evil ruling elite do. Nooo, Poch is not alone but his kind is hard to find in a confused believing people, meticulously cared for from birth to death by their churches. The meticulous care guarantees a captive people to serve the Lords - the unseen Lord in heaven, the drug Lords, the gambling Lords, gang Lords, the media Lords, the survey Lords, thetrapo Lords and the election Lords. Oh, yes they still have to serve the Law Lords of lawyers and judges. How I wish Poch can find the very means to make his advocacy heard and acted. Good luck, Poch. Good luck my Philippines! Ogie

All Children are Born as Unbelievers of the Faith

Anyone who understands the definition of atheism must acknowledge that all children are born atheists, including those born to Christian parents. Atheism is nothing more than the lack of acceptance of the theistic belief claim (i.e., some god or gods exist). A theist is one who believes that god(s) exist; an atheist is one who does not share this belief. The newborn child cannot even entertain such possibilities and thus lacks theistic belief. Atheism is the default position, and this is where we all begin. In order for Christians to argue against the reality that all children are born atheists, they must distort the meaning of atheism. They must convince themselves and their audience that atheism is a religion, a philosophy, or a worldview. They claim that atheism is an explicit repudiation of religion and that it involves faith that no gods exist. Such distortions in the meaning of atheism allow them to claim that children cannot be born atheist because atheism requires the same sort of deliberate choice required by religious belief. Atheism is not a belief system but lack of acceptance of one particular belief. It requires no faith; it is the absence of faith. It is the null hypothesis, the default condition, the natural starting point for each of us. But why must Christians distort the meaning of atheism at all? Why should they even care if their children are born atheists, especially when it is likely that they will begin brainwashing them at an early age? There are many reasons, ranging from a need to see the child as connected to them through the manner they consider most important (i.e., religion) to the harsh implications of infant mortality to their belief system. To expand on this latter point, consider the Christian parent whose child dies before the child is capable of forming the cognitions necessary to comprehend theistic belief. According to this parent's own Christian doctrine, this child is likely destined for hell. This is where non-believers go, and this child is clearly a non-believer. The Catholics toyed with limbo as a way out, but the evangelical Protestants now engaging in America's "culture wars" never really warmed to this idea. Even theism will be insufficient for such a parent, as a personal relationship with Jesus is thought to be the only vehicle for salvation. It should be remembered that Christians have created this doctrine for themselves and should be solely responsible for unraveling the many conundrums it presents. Distorting atheism is not an acceptable way out of the mess. It only makes the theists, the silly believers, look ridiculous. Poch Suzara

Every Child is Born with a Tragedy, NOT original sin

“Every human being on this earth is born with a tragedy, and it isn’t original sin. He’s born with the tragedy that he has to grow up. That he has to leave the nest, the security, and go out to do battle. He has to lose everything that is lovely and fight for a new loveliness of his own making, and it’s a tragedy. A lot of people don’t have the courage to do it.” Helen Hayes Most people believe in God because they have been taught from early infancy to do it, and that is the main reason. Then I think that the next most powerful reason is the wish for safety. Bertrand Russell Give me the storm and tempest of thought and action, rather than the dead calm of ignorance and faith. Banish me from Eden when you will; but first let me eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Robert G. Ingersoll The greatest failures in life are those who live with the right answers to wrong questions. The greatest success, however, are those who question everything as the answers, with a few exceptions, become, in time, obsolete. Only the few have the courage to question what has always been taken for granted. Indeed, they have been taught to hate the power of thought. What they love is fear and ignorance more known as faith. Faith has the power to make people feel safe mindlessly, if not to feel lazy thoughtlessly. In the Philippines, however, faith has been and still is quite a success. Faith is the engine that generates the failure of our values and beliefs. Such failures promote nothing but the great success of our being famous as the Sick Man of Asia! Poch Suzara

George Bush and Bin Laden

“Bush and bin Laden are really on the same side: the side of faith and violence against the side of reason and discussion. Both have implacable faith that they are right and the other isevil. Each believes that when he dies he is going to heaven. Each believes that if he could kill the other, his path to paradise in the next world would be even swifter. The delusional "next world" is welcome to both of them. This world would be a much better place without either of them. ” Richard Dawkins, Scientist/Atheist Think about it: Both Bush and Bin Laden were never known to be indecent, atheistic, or used vulgar language. Bush or Bin Laden never got expelled out of high school; in fact both attained college education. Poch Suzara, High school Expelled/Atheist

Letter to TIME June 15, 2005

President Gloria Arroyo repeated the same words past presidents of the Philippines have faithfully declared again and again. Have “faith and trust in divine providence” during hard times. Indeed, democracy without education means hypocrisy without limitation; it means the degradation of high office into cheap prayers in order to serve the rulers and deceive the ruled. Meanwhile, growth as a people and development as a nation have yet to take roots. Unfortunately, our government officials are just waiting for divine providence to provide. Indeed, we Filipinos have been taught to believe that God will solve our problems for as long as we never lose faith. History, however, fails to prove that the creation of human decency throughout the land has ever been a priority with divinity. Corruption is the privilege of our elected officials and prayer rallies are organized if there were any proposal to alter the patriotic tradition. Our democratic failure is due to the popularity of ignorance. A Filipino has a better chance at winning high government position if he or she has achieved a reputation in mediocrity. Is there hope for the Philippines? Yes, there is. As soon as we begin to become the intelligent masters rather than the stupid victims of religion. Golly, even the daily prayers addressed to God in this country are as similar in form and content of letters children write to Santa Claus. But if God would rather fulfill the needs of the devil rather than save the Philippines away from the same old evil – why should the leaders of this Republic continue to have faith and trust in divine providence? Where is our science and the scientific way of thinking to remedy the religious mess that is keeping us Filipinos spiritually poor as a people and morally corrupt as a nation?

Who Knows

"God created the universe" is a silly statement. First, nobody knows God. Second, nobody knows the universe. Third, nobody knows what "knowing" means. Indeed, nobody even knows who we are? Where we come from? Where we are going? In the meantime, the question: "why is there something rather than nothing?" The answer" "Why not?" Poch Suzara

Education or Indoctrinatiion

We are all born ignorant, not stupid. We are made stupid by education. - Bertrand Russell In the Philippines, however, during our formativeyears in schools run by the Jesuits, we are made stupid by indoctrination. Look how, in this already 21st century, we still know not how to generate a happy new year with science and technology; we only know how to celebrate the ways of the old year with the same old stupid prayers under a theology. - Poch Suzara

IT IS MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES

For the growth and development of tourism in our country - we declare to the whole wide world that - IT IS MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES. Indeed, more fun for the tourists to enjoy not only our style of making whoopies, but also to enjoy other forms of patooties in our poor and backward country. Sadly, however, our tourist industry does not mean growth and development for the economy of our country. It only means making more babies. Indeed, 3 babies are born every minute of the day and night, or 1.5 Million babies are born yearly in the Philippines. Meanwhile, according to government statistics we now have more than 20 million single mothers. Many of them are trying to look for a husband or employment here, there, or anywhere in the world in order to support their children - not due to, or because of nationalism, but simply because mostly of tourism. May I, however, suggest for our tourists to come and visit the land where our Jose Rizal was born. Indeed, he was one of the greatest and brightest of men that mankind has ever produced. Courageously, by writing two books - to awaken us Filipinos to realize that we have a country to love, and a people to care. Jose Rizal shook the foundation of Catholicism in the Philippines. The Catholic church therefore had him arrested, incarcerated, and publicly executed. Indeed, in order to protect and defend Catholic trade and commerce and industry more known saving the "souls of Filipinos." The Catholic church is still here in this already 21st century. Profitably well-established as owners of schools, colleges, and universities; not to mention owners also of prime properties and other vast commercial enterprises in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century! The Catholic church is one of major stock investors or players in the Makati Stock Stock Exchange Wouldn't it be great too see our tourists putting two and two together; and, for the glory of eternal salvation - come to the explanation why we are poor, dirty and backward, messy, and misguided as a nation? Jose Rizal, Bertrand Russell, and Albert Einstein

Bertrand Russell, at age of 70, was denied an appointment to teach logic and mathematics at the City College of New York in 1940. His writings on social and political issues have been described by his religious critics as: "Treacherous, salacious, libidinous, lustful, venerous, erotomaniac, aphrodisiac, atheistic, irreverent, narrow-minded, untruthful, and bereft of moral fiber." In 1950, however, Bertrand Russell was the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature. In defense of Bertrand Russell, here are the words of his great friend and associate Albert Einstein: "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly." In the Philippines, however, as I am not a Knight of Rizal, not a school teacher, or a college professor, not an historian, not even a newspaper editor, but simply a self-taught high school expelled unbeliever of the faith - I'd like to think that I too played a tiny part in publicly writing fearlessly the same thing about our own Jose Rizal - the greatest spirit the Philippines has ever produced. Indeed, I said it before, I say it again: Jose Rizal, born and died in the Philippines, was a taller, greater, and a more truthful man than Jesus Christ - the Son of God, born and died in a foreign land 2,000 years ago. He promised to return quickly to remedy the ills of human society, its sick religion and sick politics. Poch Suzara

The Foal Messages as Written in the Holy Bible

The foal language of Poch Suzara is rather amateurish compared to the foul messages written in the holy bible by inspired authors of God: "If any man come to me and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, yea his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn“‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household. Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Matt. 10-34-37 "Come follow me. Let the dead bury their own dead." Matt. 8:22; Luke 9:60 "Now therefore, kill every male child among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known a man by lying with him; but all women-children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Number 30"13 "And the Lord said to Hosea. Go, take thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms." Hosea 1:2, 3:1-3 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man lve the world, the love of the Father is not in him." 1 John 2:15 "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will to bring the understanding of the prudent." 1 Cor. 1:19 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean.” Matthew 23:27 “You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Matthew 12:3 “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?” Matthew 23:33 “But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?” Matthew 3:7 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44 “For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5: "I form the light and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I the Lord do these things." Is. 45:7 "For it is written, I will bring to nothing the wisdom of the wise, and will to nothing the understanding of the prudent." 1Cor.1:19 "For in much wisdom is much grief, and he increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow." Eccl.1:18 "Love not the world, neither the things that ARE in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." 1John 2:15 "And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroyman whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them." Genesis 6:6-7 And here's more about Jesus by a great Agnostic: "Christ never wrote a solitary word of the New Testament — not one word. There is an account that he once stooped and wrote something in the sand, but that has not been preserved. He never told anybody to write a word. He never said, 'Matthew, remember this. Mark, do not forget to put that down. Luke, be sure in your gospel you have this. John, do not forget it.' Not one word. And it has always seemed to me that a being coming from another world, with a message of infinite importance to mankind, should at least have verified that message by his own signature. Is it not wonderful that not one word was written by Christ? Is it not strange that he gave no orders to have his words preserved — words upon which hung the salvation of the world?" Robert G. Ingersoll

The Truth about Pocholito

In the world of fear and ignorance, religious lies and political deceptions - a man of truth, courage, and intellect is always looked upon as the devil himself unworthy of love, respect, affection or admiration! In the Philippines, however, a man of truth is merely known as one who is selfish, greedy, stupid, insane, vile, vulgar, indecent, insulting, expelled out of high school, or indeed, in one word, merely referred to by his critics as: "Pocholito." In the meantime, If God in the bible already revealed the truth, how come in the Philippines, the only Catholic country in Asia - even the college-educated Catholics know absolutely nothing of such truths? Atheism verses Theism

Theism is having a personal relationship with fantasy more known as the mystery behind asilly divinity. Atheism is having a personal relationship with ever changing reality in order to maintain our sanity. In the meantime, all men fear death. They are atheist at heart. For my part, I do not fear death. I do not fear God. I am an atheist. Poch Suzara

Wow God, My Dear God

h God, my dear God,I asked you before, I ask you again: WHEN WILL YOU EVER BEGIN TO BEHAVE LIKE A REAL GOD WORTHY OF LOVE, RESPECT, AND ADMIRATION, huh??? How come you are still the same old USELESS GOOD FOR NOTHING GOD????? Is it really that hard for you to straighten out the religious mess in this world? Mostly caused by religion? We are already in the 21st century and we still don't know who you are, where you are, what you are doing, where are you going? What's the silly mystery all about?? Is death really that precious to you more than life? If so, you should have created man already dead, and not alive! Poch Suzara

God is in control of What?

Because God is in control, we have nothing to fear. Phil Star, Jan 5, 2013 I form the light and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I, the Lord do these things. Isaiah 45:7 Judges 9:23 1 Sam 16:14 2 Thess 2:11 For my part, I am eternally grateful to God for having created me from birth as a fearless atheist. After my death, with no more capacity to believe or to disbelieve - I will continue to be an atheist. Thank God! Poch Suzara

Manny Almario on Rizal as an Atheist

You assert that there is no indication of Rizal being an atheist agnostic in his writings. Now here are quotes from his Fourth Letter to Father Pastells: "Well now my faith in God, if faith be the right word for the outcome of a reasoning process, is blind, blind inasmuch as it knows nothing. I neither believe nor disbelieve in the qualities which many attribute to god, and I can only smile at the definitions and elucubrations of theologians and philosophers, concerning this ineffable and instrutable being. I have this conviction that I stand before the Supreme Problem ... "I do not believe ... in any revelations which each religion claims to possess. [That should include Bible.] Upon impartial and careful study, one cannot but discern in these revelations the human imprint and the marks of the times in which they were written. No indeed. Man makes his own god according to his own image and then attributes to him his own works, much like the Polish magistrates who used to choose their king only to impose their will on him. .... "I believe in revelation, but in the living revelations of nature which surrounds us everywhere, in the voice speaking out through nature -- powerful, eternal, unceasing, incorruptible, clear, distinct, universal as the Being from which it comes." (Translation by Raul J. Bonoan, S.J.) To Rizal, therefore, nature and god are one. Each created the other. Nature created man and man created god. The above passage showed Rizal an agnostic, and therefore an atheist. Poch Suzara

Why the Philippines Must Catch Up with Atheism

Why Atheism Won’t Succeed in the Philippines June 23, 2012 by Hector Gamboa I used to embrace atheism and I used to be active in the Philippine atheist forum and community. However, during the past few years I find myself being drawn away from atheism. Did someone “save” my wretched soul and showed me the path to eternal life and salvation? No! I still believe that there is not enough evidence yet that I have witnessed and experienced that would offer sufficient proof (and arguments) for the existence of the theistic god. Given that my view on the existence of the theistic god hasn’t changed, why do I find myself being drawn away from atheism? If atheism is favored by science, evidence and reason, why is it such at a disadvantage against religious beliefs that often comes with credulity? The biggest word that comes to my mind when I think about this question is “Arrogance”. As long as arrogance lingers amongst the vocal proponents of atheism in the Philippines, I just do not see it prospering in the country despite the feeding programs, conventions, public debates and media mileage its organizations have. Response by Poch Suzara, Grandfather of Atheism in the Philippines I invite you all to carefully read God's first commandment: "THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME." This means God does not to believe in the existence of other GODS - and that makes God an ATHEIST. Well, this logic puts you frightened believers in a worst situation since you all believe, love, and worship a God who is an atheist! And you people are not even aware of it due to your blind faith! In the meantime, I ask: what is the problem? If God, in his own image and likeness, created me to be like him - an atheist - one who does not believe in any kind of Gods - why should that bother any of you faithfool believers? Poch Suzara

I WAS ONCE AN ATHEIST BULLSHIT

Yes, indeed, there are individuals who claim they were once upon a time an atheist, but not any more. One would hear them admit: “I am now a theist as I finally found God.” This is religious bullshit. In the first place, we have been taught to believe that God is already existing here, existing there, and existing everywhere. Therefore, what need is there to have found God? And if we ever found God, how would we know that God is a Catholic? In the meantime, whoever heard of an intelligent unbeliever who found more truth by reverting back to his being once again as a dumbstruck believer or a religious sap in grade school? To begin with, there is no such animal as an atheist pretending to be an atheist. Atheism is a courageous life style. Never a cowardly or a pretentious life style! We atheists say what we mean and mean what we say. We have no fear of the unknown; no fear of the mysteries. We have no fear of death. We atheists do not believe in the hereafter because there never was, to begin with, a herebefore. We atheists love life as much as we love this world. No matter how imperfect this world has been and still is. We, as atheists, have no need of a God, or an angel, or a devil, or some holy ghost in a heaven or in hell in order for us to live the good life – one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. We have no need of lies and deceptions to make life worth living. We have no need of illusions or delusions in order to carry on with others with more confusion. Indeed, we atheists, have no need of the invisible means of support called "God" or "Allah" or "Yahweh." And contrary to what you frightened faithfools say about us atheists - we DO believe in something bigger, higher, and greater than ourselves: - we believe in our family, in our country, and indeed, we believe in the whole of humanity on this earth as something of the greatest treasure found anywhere in the universe! Poch Suzara

Prayer as a waste of Precious Time

Praying is like a rocking chair - it will give you something to do, but it won't get you anywhere. Gypsy Rose Lee

Prayer is like a pump in an empty well, it makes a lot of noise, but brings no water. Lemuel K. Washburn When you talk to God, it is called "praying." When God talks to you, it is called "hallucinating."

Our culture of corruption comes mostly from God leading us always into temptation despite our daily prayer to God to "lead us not into temptation."

In the meantime, the Son of God Jesus, crucified on the cross, cried out loud: "MY GOD. MY GOD WHY HAS THOU FORSAKEN ME?" I ask: in prayer, whatever happened to the Father and Son relationship between Jesus and God, his Father? Poch Suzara

There are more theists and than atheists in the Philippines

Quote: According to the article below, there are 0.7 atheists in the Philippines or 0.8%; there are 92.5% theists. In reverse, there are 0.8% atheists in all jails in the Philippines and 92% are theists. How wonderful! Submitted by John Piermont Montilla. Cheers, Poch Suzara

Religious mediocrity or Political Stupidity

Most men never rise above viewing things as object of desires- hence their misery under intellectual timidity; but to see things purely as object of understanding is to rise to the freedom of enhancing one's intellectual capacity. Indeed, none of the higher mental processes are required to keep one' faith in Catholicism. However, the advocate of change, progress, and development, on the contrary, must have a certain degree of intellectual courage in order to be able to conceive of anything different from what exists. For my part, under our freedom and democracy, I have the right to write what I want. And it is matched by another right just as powerful: the right of others not to read what I write. My freedom of expression includes the freedom to shake some sense into our college-educated politicians in or out of government that's keeping us Filipinos spiritually poor as a people; and, morally bankrupt as a nation. I said it before, I say it again: the freedom of thought is far more precious than the freedom of expression; for, devoid of thought we can only express, at best, religious mediocrity; or, at worst - political stupidity. Rizal's Letter to the Young Women of Malolos

HOLA! In observance of Rizal Day, allow me to share with you my most favorite quote from Gat Jose Rizal's "Letter to the Young Women of Malolos" as well as his suggested points of reflection... ====================== "I do not expect to be believed simply because it is I who am saying this; there are many people who do not listen to reason, but will listen only to those who wear the cassock or have gray hair or no teeth; but while it is true that the aged should be venerated, because of their travails and experience, yet the life I have lived, consecrated to the happiness of the people, adds some years, though not many of my age. I do not pretend to be looked upon as an idol or fetish and to be believed and listened to with the eyes closed, the head bowed, and the arms crossed over the breast; what I ask of all is to reflect on what I tell him, think it over and shift it carefully through the sieve of reasons. FIRST of all. That the tyranny of some is possible only through cowardice and negligence on the part of others. SECOND. What makes one contemptible is lack of dignity and abject fear of him who holds one in contempt. THIRD. Ignorance is servitude, because as a man thinks, so he is; a man who does not think for himself and allowed himself to be guided by the thought of another is like the beast led by a halter. FOURTH. He who loves his independence must first aid his fellowman, because he who refuses protection to others will find himself without it; the isolated rib in the buri is easily broken, but not so the broom made of the ribs of the palm bound together. FIFTH. If the Filipina will not change her mode of being, let her rear no more children, let her merely give birth to them. She must cease to be the mistress of the home, otherwise she will unconsciously betray husband, child, native land, and all. SIXTH. All men are born equal, naked, without bonds. God did not create man to be a slave; nor did he endow him with intelligence to have him hoodwinked, or adorn him with reason to have him deceived by others. It is not fatuous to refuse to worship one's equal, to cultivate one's intellect, and to make use of reason in all things. Fatuous is he who makes a god of him, who makes brutes of others, and who strives to submit to his whims all that is reasonable and just. SEVENTH. Consider well what kind of religion they are teaching you. See whether it is the will of God or according to the teachings of Christ that the poor be succored and those who suffer alleviated. Consider what they preaching to you, the object of the sermon, what is behind the masses, novenas, rosaries, scapularies, images, miracles, candles, belts, etc. etc; which they daily keep before your minds; ears and eyes; jostling, shouting, and coaxing; investigate whence they came and whiter they go and then compare that religion with the pure religion of Christ and see whether the pretended observance of the life of Christ does not remind you of the fat milch cow or the fattened pig, which is encouraged to grow fat nor through love of the animal, but for grossly mercenary motives. Let us, therefore, reflect; let us consider our situation and see how we stand. May these poorly written lines aid you in your good purpose and help you to pursue the plan you have initiated. "May your profit be greater than the capital invested;" and I shall gladly accept the usual reward of all who dare tell your people the truth. May your desire to educate yourself be crowned with success; may you in the garden of learning gather not bitter, but choice fruit, looking well before you eat because on the surface of the globe all is deceit, and the enemy sows weeds in your seedling plot. All this is the ardent desire of your compatriot. JOSÉ RIZAL MINA TENORIO mina@likhaan.org

Filipinos have yet to be healed by the Apostles

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 9:1 I asked it before, I ask it again: How come, in the whole of Asia, only the Philippines got to be converted to be a Catholic country, but not all Filipinos are Catholics; and, how come the apostles of Jesus dismally failed to cure diseases of Filipinos as they are now more known worldwide as the SICK MAN OF ASIA? Sick Belief Creates Sick Society

Respecting false beliefs is just like having faith. It is not wanting to know what is true. For my part, I have neither respect for holy baloney; nor have I faith in sacred salami. After all, it is not healthy disbelief, but sick belief that creates a sick society. And just how sick are we existing under our sick society: Aside from having an Army, Navy, Air force; and having an NBI, CIS, and Philippine National police, and God knows what else - look how we still need to hire security guards to protect life and property everywhere in this only Catholic country in Asia. What's happening to us Filipinos is not due to the dismal failure; on the contrary, it is due to the great success of Catholicism via its schools, colleges, universities, and seminaries in this only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century. Catholicism - a great success in the Philippines

Dear Lourdes, It is easy to determine who is responsible for the poverty, social insanity, political stupidity, in a word - historical misery keeping our country poor, sick, and backward. NO! It can hardly be the men and women and the high officials installed to work with, or be a part of, - the Philippine government. After all, not one of them is an atheist, or a freethinker, or a humanist, or a scientist, or an unbeliever of the faith - THEY ARE, IN THE MAJORITY, RAISED AND EDUCATED IN CATHOLIC SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, AND UNIVERSITIES; AND, IN THE MINORITY, RAISED AND EDUCATED UNDER THE BELIEFS AND VALUES OF IGLESIA NI CRISTO, DATING DAAN, EL SHADDAI, JESUS IS LORD MOVEMENT, AND GOD KNOWS WHO OR WHAT ELSE. I said it before, I say it again: Catholicism is not a failure in the Philippines. On the contrary, Catholicism has always been and still is a great success in this only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century! As an Atheist, I rest my case! Best wishes always, Poch Suzara

Not Hate, but to love our country

For my part, as an atheist, I have no interest in loving a Godup there by hating one another down here. I am not interested in a system of rewards and punishments. I do not see that the purpose of life is to be prepared and secured for death. I live without any sense of heaven as a place of reward; or, hell as a place of punishment. To believe that human life temporary on this earth is but the preparation for the life of eternity after death invites not love, but hate, - of one's country! Poch Suzara

Jose Rizal and Charles Darwin

To kill an error is as good a service as, and sometimes even better than, establishing of a new truth or fact. - - - Charles Darwin My dear reader, can you name me one Filipino as product of college education in any of our prestigious universities in the Philippines - such as La Salle, Ateneo, AIM, Assumption college, University of the Santo Thomas, and so on - who has substantially contributed to the betterment of our society? Especially by exposing with intellectual guts the religious lies and political deceptions that is keeping us poor and aimless as a people; and, keeping us backward and rudderless as a nation? In fact, who has exposed the religious lies and political deceptions that have historically kept us Filipinos famous only as the Sick Man of Asia? I don't know about you readers. For my part, I can name only one great Filipino - Jose Rizal. To think that the power, wealth, and glory that had him executed is still here with more power, wealth, and glory in our country today - the Catholic Church - the owners of schools, colleges, and universities such as Ateneo and UST where Jose Rizal, as a student, and who had already began to intellectually question the sensibilities of his Catholic education. I said it before, I say it again: the truth hurts; but lies and deceptions are far more damaging and can last for a thousand years. - - - Poch Suzara

Read the bible critically, seriously, and Judiciously

Why is it that you frightened believers never bother to seriously read your own holy bible from cover to cover? You just depend on us atheists to read for you and to reveal to you the REVEALED TRUTHS as written by INSPIRED AUTHORS of God. Listen: Melchizedek the Priest -Priest of the Most High God. This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.” Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever." Hebrews 7:1-3 So obviously, when you believers shout to high heavens that everything has a cause and that God is that first cause of everything - then WHO or WHAT caused the existence of Melchizedek - without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or an end of life..." More to the point: how come Melchizedeck always here, always there and always everywhere present but chooses to imitate God to only ne always OMNI-ABSENT? Hijos de tootie-frootie y patooties! CONIO! When will you frightened religious saps ever going to wake up to the TRUTH that RELIGION ENCOURAGES STUPIDITY AND AN INSUFFICIENT SENSE REALITY. It promotes nothing but dead uniformity under holy baloney mysteriously mixed with sacred salami. All for the sake of a silly divinity always keeping us aimless as a people and rudderless as a nation. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google# Atheist#

The Catholic Church in the Philippines

The Philippines is home to many of the world's major religious congregations, and today these include the Augustinians, Recollects, Jesuits, Dominicans, Franciscans, Carmelites, Salesians, and the indigenous Religious of the Virgin Mary. As a matter of truth made simple, however, the Catholic church in the Philippines is no longer a church. It is now more known schools, colleges, and universities. Poch Suzara

I SHALL RETURN

I have great respect for General Douglas MacArthur. He was a truthful man. During the Second World War, he promised to return with a bigger army to assist fellow Filipino soldiers fighting the Japanese in the Philippines. He simply said: - “I shall return!” He did so in two years time. Jesus, however, the Son of God, who cured diseases, who could walk on water, who raised the dead back to life, the Savior of Filipinos, after getting crucified on a cross, promised that he will return soon. Jesus made that promise some two thousand years ago. College-educated - Religiously frightened faithfools are still seriously waiting for Jesus to return. I ask: to return to accomplish what? I am sad for my parents, grandparents, great, great, great, grandparents. They all believed this bullcrap promise of Jesus returning within their own lifetime. What a lot of holy bible garbage! But then again, I have more respect, more love and affection, more admiration for Jose Rizal. When he died for his country, he stayed dead. When Jesus died on the cross to destroy the devil, he did not stay dead. He resurrected on the 3rd day back to life presumably to try to find some other ways and means to fuck the stupid devil dead for good. Poch Suzara

Oh Jesus, Where are You

Millions of your Filipino followers are filthy poor; but your Filipino leaders-Evangelists are filthy rich. All, however, rich and poor alike, are waiting for your return. What’s holding up the show? Where are you Jesus? It has been more than 2,000 years already. Why did you make a promise you could not deliver in due time? Time has elapsed! Oh Jesus, my dear Jesus, do you know that millions of Filipinos who are college educated Catholics have to earn a living overseas. These are in foreign countries that do not even believe you are the Son of God who performed wonderful miracles or that you are the Savior of the world! Oh Jesus, my dear Jesus, while you lived on this earth, did you really have to squander your supernatural powers on frivolous nonsense? Instead of bringing mankind a cure for heart disease and cancer, you only used magic to curse a fig tree. Instead of ending birth defects and infant mortality, you filled pigs with demons. Instead of ending world hunger and illiteracy, you changed water into wine. Instead of showing men and women how to walk with dignity and self-respect, you only showed them how to walk on water. Instead of raising dead Lazarus back to life, you ignored raising dead minds and hearts to benefit society. Instead a punching to death a boy who had accidentally hit you, wouldn't it been better if you punched to death the devil responsible for the sins, crimes, and in your own community? Oh Jesus, my dear Jesus, the worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and heart. This is the kind of poverty that seems endless as a scandal in the Philippines. Thanks of course to your Catholic church - the owner of more than 1,000 schools, colleges, and universities teaching us Filipinos that you will soon return and we therefore need not worry about tomorrow because, at any rate, God will provide and will take care of our tomorrows. In the meantime, my dear Jesus, the Catholic Vatican bank is the richest, most powerful bank in the world far richer and more powerful today than the United States Federal Reserve Bank. Poch Suzara

More Finite Garbage written in the Bible by Inspired authors of an INFINITE God

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. Numbers 31:17-18 The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed. Deuteronomy 28:27 Note: could you readers really believe that God could inspire his authors to write such garbage in the holy bible" Indeed, whenever a verse or a chapter in the bible is unreasonable, and you believe it as the word of God,you are considered to be a good Catholic. And if the verse or chapter in the bible were greatly absurd and infinitely stupid, and you believe it, you are a saint. I asked it before, I ask it again: how and why should the INFINITE mind of God inspire such FINITE minds of authors to reveal the REVEALED TRUTH in the bible? And to think that bible messages are the basic information behind our system of education, and also behind the Philippines and its Constitution! Is it any wonder with distorted minds and twisted hearts we Filipinos can not even fathom why precisely we are more known throughout the world as the Sick Man of Asia? Poch Suzara

Jesus Loves the Failures and the Losers

Jesus loves the failures and the losers of this world. He couldn't give two hoots for the great men and women who brought enlightenment into this world of darkness. Jesus is a Savior of what? How did he bring light into the world to brighten the hearts and mind of mankind; especially the minds and hearts of Filipinos - the victims, not the masters, of Catholicism in this only Catholic country in Asia? Jesus sought to save the world. Surely no one looking at the world today can say that Jesus succeeded. His plan of salvation was a failure; it did not work out as Jesus intended. An ideal teacher is needed now as much as 2,000 years ago. If the world is gradually improving, as seems probable, it is in spiteof the superstition of the past, not because of them. Jesus did not provide the knowledge so much needed by man today to enable him to shape his course through life. No one knows how to live correctly, how best to meet each situation, what action is suited to the occasion. Jesus did not tell us what to do. His sayings are interpreted in so many different ways. He failed to predict the needs of the future. Jesus did not explain relations between man and wife, nor between employer and employee, nor how to educate children, nor how to preserve health, nor how to make a living, nor how to prevent war, poverty and suffering. Jesus gave little practical information and his spiritual advice was not clearly enough expressed to enable man to apply it to modern conditions. Jesus neglected to instruct people how to live. His knowledge of the world was less than that of a La Salle high school expelled student Hijos de tootie-frootie-patooties, Wake up already! We are now living in the 21st century! Poch Suzara

The Worst Kind of Poverty

The worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and heart. Conversely, the best kind of wealth is the health of the mind and heart. Now what could be more enriching than to throw out the window the lowest form of poverty - more known as "faith?" Indeed, a man of faith is like a drunkard who clings to a lamppost for support, not illumination! Or, to put it in some other words ' Faith is nothing more than pretending to know something that you know nothing about. It is worse than bad thinking, it's antithinking! The bible states that" only a fool says in his heart there is no God." Well, we the wise, say it to the world. As for me, an atheist, I would rather love and respect human intelligence than to always be soaked or be frightened of divine malevolence! Instead of enriching silly divinity, I would rather enrich the intelligence of humanity! In the meantime, life after birth is far more precious than life after death. After all, there isn't any life after death! This is a brutal fact, and most facts are brutal. Poch Suzara

A Psyco-ceramic at worst; a crack-pot a best

"Prayers never bring anything... They may bring solace to the sap, the bigot, the ignorant, the aboriginal, and the lazy - but to the enlightened it is the same as asking Santa Claus to bring you something for Xmas. --W. C. Fields

Praying is like a rocking a chair. It will help you do something but won't get you anywhere. -- Gypsy Rose Lee

Imagine, as the Vicar of Christ, the Head of the Catholic church, the CEO of the richest bank in the world - the Vatican Catholic bank - Pope Benedict XV111 offered prayers to the thousands of victims devastated by the Pablo typhoon in Mindanao. Our Famous Criminals in Jail or out of jail

Famous Filipino criminals in jail or still waiting to be sentenced to jail or pardoned out of jail or executed by fellow criminals in the government or already forgiven by the Lord Jesus Christ on earth as he is in heaven: Marcos and Imelda Rolando Galman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo Mike Arroyo Efraim Genuino Erwin Genuino Sheryl Genuino Antonio Leviste Rolito Go Justice Reynato Corona Mayor Antonio Sanchez Congressman Romeo Jaloslos Cesar Guy Claudio Teehankee Jr. Benjamin Abalos Joseph "Erap" Estrada Congressman "Bingbong" Crisologo and many, many more such as the lawmakers as the lawbreakers, Tax evaders, and evangelical liars, deceivers, and swindlers! Notice however all of these people share something in common: None of them are atheists. None have been known to be atheists. In fact, all of them believe, love, worship, and have deep faith in God who can readily forgive them of their sins and crimes; and, indeed, to forgive our culture of corruption as generated by our Catholic system of education! Amen! Cheers! Poch Suzara

What I want for this christmas 2012

For this Christmas, just like last Christmas, I simply want the Catholic Cardinals, bishops, and the ministers, and the evangelists such as Bro. Eli Soriano of Dating Daan, Bro. Mike Velarde of El Shaddai, Bro. Eddie Villanueva of Jesus is the Lord movement, etc- to openly admit that they know nothing about God; that they know nothing about heaven and hell or the future of mankind; that they know nothing about the virtues of adding to human welfare and happiness. Indeed, that they only pretend to know about the order and harmony in the universe, but they know nothing about the disorder and disharmony created on this earth by so many kinds of stupid religions. Indeed, why is it that everybody wants to go to heaven, and yet, nobody wants to die? This is what I want for this Christmas. For next Christmas I may want the same old hogwash as I never, but never get what I simply want for Christmas! Poch Suzara

God and Cesar are one and the Same

In the Philippines, historically, the Catholic church has always enjoyed the loaf of bread daily and gives back crumbs to the flock as a charity. It is more known as "Give unto Cesar the things that are Cesar's and to God the things that are God's." In the Philippines, however, Cesar and God are one and the same character - the same spoiled Brat. Poch Suzara

The Lord Jesus Must Have Exhorted Manny Pacquiao

Jesus exhorts his followers with these words: “But I say unto you, that ye resists not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matt. 5:39 I ask: what is so noble about turning the other cheek, if one knows that each time he does so, he is earning his salvation in heaven, while the one who strikes is earning his damnation in hell? But then again, look at Manny Pacquiao. Look what happened to him in all humility giving away, for a fee, his right and left cheek to his opponent in the boxing arena! Poch Suzara

Oh Yes, I live a Life of hate

Oh yes, I live a life of hate. I enjoy hating. I hate the love of ignorance. I hate the love of fear, and I hate the love of human stupidity. Such horrors have been keeping my country poor spiritually, backward morally, impoverished economically, stupid politically, and insane socially. And finally, I hate it even more when I am told that since ours is the only JESUS IS LORD country in Asia, the Philippines is the only country in the world that's been always BLESSED BY GOD, specially with silly values and ancient beliefs. I said it before, I say it again: I HATE ILLUSIONS, CONFUSION, DELUSION, LIES AND DECEPTIONS. Such horrors have been what our system of education have been mostly about - I hate our schools, colleges, and universities. Especially those own and operated by the Catholic church. Such establishments, to begin with, are not educational institutions; they are commercial enterprises. It is where poverty of the worst kind comes from, - the poverty of the mind and heart. There is, however, one beauty that I have loved and still do love - the greatest of all universities: it is but a collection of books. At 76 years today - I am still a student of that great university. Oh yes, there is no end to learning. There is only the end of life. However, due to my open mind and open heart, I am ready to die sober, and not drunk with religious lies and ecclesiastical deceptions! Oh yes, I am glad that I have lost my soul; in fact, I am even more glad that I threw my faith out the window. I am, however, most proud that somehow, down through the years - I managed to have saved my precious mind and precious heart as a decent Filipino struggling to spread more human decency in this Jesus is Lord spiritually fucked country. Rightly or wrongly, I am on the side of humanity. I do not give a hoot for a silly divinity. I will continue to expose the religious horrors behind "the revealed truth" that makes for our sick society, perpetually! I said it before, I say it again: FUCK LIFE AFTER DEATH. By hook or by crook, I'd rather love and leave this world a better place than how I found it. Otherwise, I would have had no reason to have lived at all. Poch Suzara

Oh God, Why is Death more precious to you than Life

I am sometimes asked what will I say after my death if it turned out there is a God? Among other things, I will ask Godwhich of these religions is he or has been the one and only true God behind: Baha'i Buddhism Christianity Confucianism Hinduism Islam Jainism Judaism Shinto Sikhism Taoism Zoroastrianism If God admits to me that he is God behind all of these religions, then I'd happy to tell God to his face that he is a supernatural Jerk - who needs to be forgiven as it is you God - you don't know what you are doing! I said it before, I say it again: religion may offer comfort in a harsh world; it may enhance the community with peace and harmony; it may incite hate and conflict as it often does. It brief, it may have its uses for good or for evil. But the concept of religion was invented by superstitious primitives living in fear and ignorance. This world, however, our world will be a better world if we cease confusing reality with fantasy! Bertrand Russell - one of the fathers of the computer industry, mathematician, logician, philosopher, and atheist summarized it for all of us humans on this planet: “The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. What the world needs now is not only love, but also the greater knowledge of the nature of love, in all its complexity." Cheers! Poch Suzara, Atheist

Religious Morons

I am told that in my writings I should try avoid using the words like “religious morons.” That I should, instead, politely refer to same as the “religious adherents.” I say fuck that shit. Those who had our own hero - Jose Rizal - arrested, jailed, and executed more than a hundred years ago were not the religious adherents. They were the religious morons – the Catholic Spanish friars under the authority of the Catholic church hierarchy. They were out to establish and to enhance not common Filipino decency in our land, but to protect and defend highly profitable big business otherwise more known as the Catholic Church in the Philippines. Ever since then, since there were no more heroes in the likes of a Jose Rizal, in this already 21st century, the Catholic church has become the richest and most powerful corporation existing in the Philippines. The majority of impoverished Filipinos are its clients, especially in buying daily love and indulgences from God through the power of prayer. Indeed, Filipinos have been taught to believe and to have faith in God who will always provide. If not here on this earth, later after death with God in the kingdom of heaven. I ask: What could be more religiously idiotic or spiritually moronic or just plain Jesuitic than that? Poch Suzara

We only know How to Love God up there

As good Catholics, especially good for nothing Catholics, Look at how we only know how to love God up there, by hating one another down here. But consider also in this only Catholic country in Asia we Filipinos - the Sick Children of Asia - look how we have been taught to believe and to have faith and trust in God - the God of love and mercy, justice, and wisdom; and, indeed - the creator and therefore the wealthiest God as owner of heaven and earth and the trillion of stars and planets! Well, I said it before, I say it again: As soon as God-fearing security guards need no longer be employed to assist our God-fearing policemen to help secure and protect the wealth of our God-fearing church officials and their God-fearing partners in commerce and their God-fearing business associates; not to mention security guards to guard government buildings, hospitals, banks, schools, colleges, universities, shopping malls, commercial and residential buildings, hotels, motels, bars, cocktail lounges, bookstores, drug stores, expensive residential villages, movie theaters, restaurants, churches, and cathedrals, public parks, museums, airports, harbors, MRT-LRT stations, mayor's office, governor's office, including the building of the National Bureau of Investigation guarded by security agencies - I believe we can begin to trust each other not as a Catholic but as citizens of our Republic. What need is this God-forsaken country of ours is NOT a bloody revolution, but simply, the revolution of our minds and hearts. Let us grow up as a people and stop believing all those silly beliefs that are not worth believing. Poch Suzara

Do I Believe in Hell

I am often asked: if I believe in the existence of hell? Yes, I do; especially the hell in the Philippines more known as schools, colleges, and universities owned and managed by the Catholic church. It is where poverty in the Philippines comes from; especially poverty of the worst kind - the poverty of the mind and heart! It includes the state University - university of the Philippines. Its professors are all products during formative years under Catholic so-called "education." Poch Suzara

I have no wish to Celebrate the Birth of Christxxx

The pleasures in growth and positive achievement, the love of life, happy, expansive, generous, and creative; glad when others happy, and not glad when others are not happy - are the precious things on my mind while I celebrate Christmas this year. Indeed, for this Christmas, I should wish to celebrate the birth of the Filipino capacity to think as a decent people, especially in terms of a decent growth as a people, and decent development of the Philippines as a decent nation. I have no wish to celebrate the birth anniversary of Christ, but to celebrate instead the birth of the Filipino capacity to love the truth, beauty, knowledge, and the joys of this life in this world in the here and now. These will do for Christmas this year; however, for Christmas next year, I may wish to celebrate Christmas with deeper or higher reasons! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Open Letter to Pope Benedict XV1

Pope offers prayers for typhoon victims By Evelyn Macairan (The Philippine Star, 12-8-2012) MANILA, Philippines - Pope Benedict XVI has offered prayers for those who perished in typhoon “Pablo,” according to CBCP News, the official news service provider of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). The message was relayed on Thursday by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone through the Papal Nuncio in the Philippines, Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto. “He offers fervent prayers for the deceased and for all those who are working to rescue missing persons and to assist the trapped and injured,” said Cardinal Bertone. “Upon the beloved people of the Philippines, as a pledge of consolation, hope, and solidarity, His Holiness invokes God’s abundant blessings,” he added. In a message to the head of the Philippine bishops’ conference, Archbishop Jose Palma, the Pope said he “was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and the suffering” caused by the recent typhoon. The Pope sent his “heartfelt condolences to the families of all who mourn, and he assures those in distress of his spiritual closeness and concern.” Oh My Dear Pope Benedict XV1, God must be so happy and proud of you giving NOT food, water, medicines, clothing and shelter - but offered instead PRAYERS and CONDOLENCES to the thousands of Catholic victims in the recent typhoon that destroyed life and property. You are so charitable and generous! Well, I am sure too, that the 60,000,000 Catholics in the Philippines today are also so proud and happy as they have so much love, affection, and admiration for you. Especially when you wear that goofy hat and a red skirt as the CEO, responsibly attending to the business affairs of the Vatican Catholic Bank - the richest and most powerful bank in the world today! God bless you Pope Benedict XV1. Also in the Philippines God bless your Cardinals, bishops, and priests. They too are all great CATHOLIC leaders! Cheers! Poch Suzara

Jesus Christ - the Savior of the World

I am told that as long as we keep our eyes on Christ, obstacles become opportunities. I ask: opportunities to accomplish what as a people; or, to achieve what as a nation - the only nation in Asia that believes Christ is the Savior of the world! In the meantime, if we take a serious look at the mess in our world today, could any of you religious morons explain how Jesus Christ has saved the world? Poch Suzara

Lies and Deceptions about World's Population Growth

Man’s stupidity to man is mostly due to, if not from, his infinite capacity to believe the incredible, the gullible, and indeed, to believe, especially, the inspired authors of a divinity together in cahoots with deviltry. The ability to think is basic to what it means to be human. It is also the case that to think freely is basic to living freely with self-respect and thinking freely with dignity. It is sad, however, that so much of human living is controlled by religious, political, and other social forces. Such as in our country, in our schools, colleges, and universities -we are taught what to believe, hardly how to think. In the meantime, to believe that countries like Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and European countries are now experiencing chronic depopulation headeaches. So much so that now they need to import people to run their economies - is to believe in a charade of sacred lies, and to believe in a parade of holy deceptions. Indeed, the beliefs of 7 BILLION people existing in the world today, especially amongst them are the BELIEVERS in a Savior out to save not the Philippines, but to save only foreign countries - our future employers for employment, if not foreign investment! It has been said before, I repeat it here: Every cause is a lost cause without family planning and birth control. Poch Suzara

The Lord in Destroying Life on this Earth

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Genesis 6:7 Oh Lord, my dear Lord, how did you manage to destroy also the whales, sharks, dolphins, octopus, barracudas, salmon, tuna, sting rays, eels, crabs, lobsters, shrimps, turtles and the other creeping creatures living in the Pacific and in the Atlantic ocean? The Holy Trinity NO! the Holy Quadruplicity, YES

I asked it before, I ask it again: And why was the devil also gifted with the same free will to make a mockery of our prayers daily? ... The 4th commandment says: Honor thy mother and thy father. ... Yet, Father and Son and the Holy Ghost are one and the same person. Is it possible that the Holy trinity could never organize into big business together if the devil does not play his role to make it truly as the Holy Quadruplicity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, and God the devil? Religion - The Dragon in our World

Nov. 16, 2012 My Dearest Et Al, I repeat what I have been saying on these pages: It does not matter whether we Filipinos were colonized by Christianity, or by Islam, or by Hinduism, or by what-not. What I am saying is that the struggle in our world history has never been about Good verses Evil; but precisely only about Evil versus Evil; and due to fear and ignorance Evil has always won. Just as much as there are atheists fighting Christianity in the Christian world, there are also atheists fighting the muslims in the Islam world. It is with such freedom fighters that we must learn to emulate, if not appreciate, if we wish our world ruled not by local insanity, but by global sanity. I refer you to Bertrand Russell and his struggle against religion of no matter what sort followed or practiced in their respective countries: "Religion prevents our children from having a rational education; religion prevents us from removing fundamental causes of war; religion prevents us from teaching the ethics of scientific cooperation in place of the old firece doctrines of sin and punishment. It is possible that mankind is on the threshold of a golden age, but it will be necessary first to slay the dragon that guards the door, and that dragon is religion." Cheers! Poch Suzara

Virginity and Corruption and Bertrand Russell

“There is not enough religion in the world,” Nietzsche once lamented, “to destroy the world’s religions.” As to what religion is, Bertrand Russell explained, “By religion, I mean a set of beliefs held as dogmas, dominating the conduct of life, going beyond or contrary to evidence, and inculcated by methods which are emotional or authoritarian, not intellectual.” “Religion is based,” Lord Russell also believed, “primarily and mainly on fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown, and partly the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes. Fear is the basis of the whole thing—fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion go hand in hand.” Religion has attracted many, he added, because “belief in God serves to humanize the world of nature, and to make men feel that physical forces [of nature] are their allies. In like manner immortality removes the terror from death. People who believe that when they die they will inherit eternal bliss may be expected to view death without horror. It does soothe men’s fears somewhat even when it cannot allay them wholly.” Writing in 1969, Russell lamented that religion, “as embodied in the Churches, discourages honest thinking, in the main, and gives importance to things that are not very important. Its sense of importance seems to be quite wrong. [In ancient times] when the Roman Empire was falling, the Fathers of the Church didn’t bother much with the fall of the Roman Empire. What they bothered about was how to preserve virginity. That was what they thought important. In the present day, when the human race is falling, I find that eminent divines think it’s much more important to prevent artificial insemination . . . (indeed, if I may add, prevent the passage of the HR bill). Poch Suzara

Superstition

Among the first and the last superstition of the Filipino mind is the superstition that God loves us and that his Son Jesus is our Savior. It's the superstition that pretty much summarizes Catholic education in Catholic schools, colleges, and universities established in our poor and backward country! Poch Suzara

Sex, Babies, and the Catholic Church in the Philippines

My Dearest Et Al, In devising a code for sexual behavior that would guarantee the survival of the Catholic church, its priesthood industry left no stone unturned in their determination to convert the woman's uterus into a factory for turning out Catholic babies. In the Philippines today - the only Catholic country in all of Asia since the 16th century - the Pinay's uterus produces 3 babies every minute of the day and night or 1.8 million babies yearly. This is regardless of Filipino parent's emotional and financial resources that undermine Filipino health as a people and wealth as a nation. For me part, raised and educated as a Catholic, I eventually found myself hard to remain religious as a Catholic. Specially when I began to notice that none of my Catholic priest in church or Catholic Christian Brother teachers in La Salle were never incinerated by God with bolts of lightning! Cheers! Poch Suzara
