Christianity is but a Grand Illusion

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. . . C. S. Lewis . . . Oh my dear C. S. Lewis, you poor blind sap. The sun rising is but an illusion. The sun setting is yet another illusion. It is the earth that rotates on its own axis daily and orbits round the sun yearly. The MAJORITY see the sun rising in the morning and setting in the evening as something TRUE and yet, it is exactly like seeing Christianity as it really is - nothing but a grand illusion. . . In the meantime, "Belief," wrote Robert Anton Wilson, "is the death of Intelligence. As soon as one believes as a doctrine of any sort, or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence." With Filipinos in the Philippines, however, specially millions of college educated Filipinos, belief is not the death of intelligence; it is more referred to as having faith in God; specially faith in the Son of God Jesus - our Savior as a sick people; and, indeed, our Redeemer as a sick nation! . ..
