Out of the 100 million population of the Philippines, 30 million Filipinos are caught in the sticky quagmire of poverty, living lives of extreme degradation and dehumanization... Mar, may I, however, point out that the rest of the population in our country suffer from poverty of even the worst kind - the poverty of the mind and heart... Such horrors have always kept us Filipinos poor spiritually as a people and mentally retarded historically as a nation!!! I have asked it before, I ask it again: Have we ever heard of a Filipino who got to be FILTHY RICH for believing that God is BAD??? 98 per cent of all Chinese daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities in China have only to do with nothing but work, work, and more work for the benefit of the human race down here... In the Philippines, 98 per cent of all Filipino daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities have only to do with pray, pray, and more praying for the benefit from divine grace up there... Chinese have been irreligious as a people since the 11th century. We Filipinos have been nothing but religious as a people since the 16th century... For my part, as a Filipino atheist, I hate religion as I hate anything based on fear... Fear never promotes mental growth. Fear is a reflection of intellectual immaturity. I hate religion because it enhances deadly believing, not lively thinking. Nothing evolved in religion... The religious lies and deceptions told to our ancestors during the first century are still same old lies and deceptions told to our children in school in this 21st century... If only religion had been more about the courage to live, and not about the fear of death; indeed, if only religion were about the search of the truth, and not that this or that is the truth – I would have learned to love passionately, and not hate religion justifiably... Never, however, were we also told to PRAY FOR THE CONVERSION OF ISRAEL - the land where Jesus was born that never got to be converted into a Catholic country... Israel is still a Jewish State... NEW YORK, 25 January 2014 Dear Poch: Seriously, I think it would be worth your while to consider compiling all that you have written on Religion, Christianity, the Vatican, etc., etc. in Cyberspace systematically into a BOOK, divided into, say, at least 30 chapters. Knowing that you are still vigorous now that you are at 70, you can do it, and do a good job of it. Then get a reputable publisher to publish it. With an initial printing of, say, 20,000 copies, to be distributed to all public libraries all over the country, to all of the country's Barangays, to other institutions or parties that may profit from a revelation of the TRUTH. Once you sense a demand for the book exists, then order a second printing of X copies, enough to meet the increased demand for it. I know that you have the financial means to consider this proposed Project seriously. This will be the legacy of POCHOLO SUZARA. And many people will remember you for such a Book. WINTER SOLSTICE GREETINGS IN REALITY . . . CHRISTMAS GREETINGS IN FANTASY The earth has spent more time orbiting the sun than all the religions, all superstitions, all of humanity, and even of all life itself. The Winter Solstice represents an actual astronomical event unlike superstition driven celebrations that occur only in religious imagination. The exact day of the winter solstice marks the end of autumn, just one point along the orbital path of earth. The energy of the sun and the fertile earth, along with the over 4.5 billion winter solstices that have occurred, allowed enough time for all of earth's evolution to happen (and to continue to happen). This puts the Winter Solstice in a far more humbling position than anything invented by humans. Considering that the earth also comes closest* to the sun during the winter, what better time to honor the sun than during the Winter Solstice. The festivals of the Winter Solstice celebrate the start of the new solar year and the beginning of winter. The fantasies of superstition have also used this astronomical event to celebrate Saturnalia, Yule, Christmas, and many other superstitious events. The unknown builders of Stonehenge in southern England constructed the megaliths at around 2000 B.C.E. which makes it at least twice as old as Christianity. It accurately predicts both the summer and winter solstices. In astronomy, a solstice occurs two times a year. During the Winter Solstice the sun appears at its greatest distance from the celestial equator, the great circle on the celestial sphere that occurs on the same plane as the earth's equator. In the northern hemisphere, the winter solstice occurs either December 21 or 22, when the sun shines directly over the tropic of Capricorn. The winter solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. The sun appears at its lowest point in the sky, and its noontime elevation appears the same for several days before and after the solstice. The summer solstice occurs either June 21 or 22, when the sun shines directly over the tropic of Cancer. In the southern hemisphere, the winter and summer solstices appear reversed. When I read about the way in which library funds are being cut and cut, I can only think that American society has found one more way to destroy itself... Isaac Asimov . . . Christianity always had a vested interest in poverty, pain, suffering, misery, and depravity. Christianity has been and still is the most destructive evil force in the Philippines. To become not well-informed citizens of our country, but only to embrace a lifetime of faith in a silly divinity existing eternally in partnership with a silly deviltry. Destructive typhoon, like "Yolanda" is a child's play compared to the death and destructive force caused by the historical teachings of Christianity: We must love only Jesus up there by hating each other in our own country down here. That we should have no country to love after birth; only to believe and to have faith in a better world to come with Jesus in the next life after death! Otherwise, if we do not believe, if we do not have faith in Jesus - we shall burn forever in hell as punishment for our disobedience!

I said it before, I say it again: I love all the great men and great women of history. Most of all, despite its horrors and terrors, I love this world. And I am most happy and proud that I was born in this world especially as this is the only world I know and will ever know. Soon I shall be dead; and, as a dying atheist, I can assure you, my dear reader, that I shall die enlightened; and not frightened of the lies, deceptions, illusions, and delusions behind religion! Oh Yes, soon, I shall be leaving this world. I have no worries about life after death as I am aware that if there is life after death I shall be existing as a nothing. So There is No God, So What?

If God were all powerful, all-knowing, loving, just, and all-merciful, why is there so much pain, mess, and suffering in the world? Especially in the Philippines the only Catholic country in Asia! Well, for my part, I do not know why. All I know that if such a God exists, I do not care to love, respect, admire, and worship such a selfish, greedy, cruel, stupid, and an insane God. I do not even care to fear such a silly monster! No way. Over my dead body! I also think that for people to kill God in order to save God is the highest form of insanity, if not the lowest form of stupidity. . . Well, what if it turns out that there is NO God? What will it matter? Will it change anything? Of course, considering our fear inextricably mixed with our ignorance, we can always invent a God to make us feel there is always somebody out there who love us and who will save us! The God business therefore has always been big business. Among the richest organizations in the world are the ones selling what a lot of frightened people would readily be buying - Jesus - the Son of God, the Savior of the world! In the meantime, the Bible says God cannot change ( Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Psalm 102:26-27; Malachi 3:6; Romans 11:29; Hebrews 6:17-18; James 1:17), and that he is all-knowing ( Job 37:16; Psalm 147:4-5; 1 John 3:20). But the New Testament teaches that Jesus did change and that he didn't even know the day or hour of his return ( Mark 13:32; Luke 2:40,52). How can Jesus be God if he doesn't even have these essential attributes of a God? Bertrand Russell summarized it fearlessly: "Religion encourages stupidity and an insufficient sense of reality. . . The lesson we all must learn as Filipinos from the Typhoon monster "Yolanda" - our Japanese Tsunami, our American Katrina: --- No doubt, there was 10 per cent malice; but there was 90 per cent gratitude. . . Janet Lim Napoles

I have the greatest admiration for Janet Lim Napoles. With no college education, no high school education, and due to poverty, with just a year or two in grade school - she somehow managed to rescue herself and her family and parents, brothers and sisters, and other friends and relatives out of poverty. With much guts and criminal maneuvering she was able to convince college-educated Congressmen and college-educated Senators to connive with her in stealing BILLIONS OF PESOS - the people's money that's suppose to belong to the government of the people, by the people, and for the people. As a high school expelled student, I envy the success of no-read-no-write Janet Lim Napoles. . . I am still trying to successfully convince college-educated men and women in the government including my friends, associates, and relatives that it is preoccupation with possession more than anything else that prevents us from living freely, nobly, and greatly. They just laugh at me. Just like my teachers in school.
